Help Us Keep the Heart of the Community Beating

At Sherwood Park Hall, we’re more than just a venue—we’re a vital lifeline for hundreds of families, children, and older adults in Mitcham and across the east side of Merton. Our community is rich in heart but faces real challenges. Many families here are struggling with the cost of living, isolation, unemployment, and a lack of opportunities. We work every day to change that—but we can’t do it alone.

What We Do

Little Learners A safe, joyful space where toddlers build confidence, social skills, and early learning foundations—many of whom wouldn’t access structured play otherwise.

👵 The Buttons – Over 60s Group Tackling loneliness through crafting, outings, and friendship. For many, this is the only social contact they’ll have all week.

🥣 HAF – Holiday Activities & Food Nutritious meals and enriching holiday activities for children who might otherwise go without. We bring joy, learning, and laughter into school breaks.

📚 AQA Employability & Life Skills We run accredited courses helping young adults boost their confidence, gain qualifications, and get into work or further education.

🎨 Therapeutic & Inclusive Arts From SEND-inclusive craft clubs to art sessions for grief and healing, we provide creative outlets for people of all ages and needs.

🥋 Karate & Fitness for Kids Helping children stay active, disciplined, and healthy through fun, accessible martial arts and sports.

🧵 Sewing & Cooking Clubs Giving families tools to save money, eat better, and gain practical life skills they can use every day.

Why We Need Your Help

We are based in an underfunded, marginalised part of Merton, where resources are stretched and many families face barriers to access. What we offer is essential—but without funding, we are at risk of losing it all. Grants only go so far, and the rising cost of maintaining our space and running these vital programs means we need support from people like you—people who believe in community, fairness, and the idea that everyone deserves a chance.

Your Donation Makes a Difference
