Supporting and Strengthening Our Community in Every Way

Sherwood Park Hall is more than a venue – we’re a safe, welcoming space at the heart of Mitcham, dedicated to making life better for local people of all ages and backgrounds. As a community hub, we offer accessible, low-cost activities that support physical and mental wellbeing, reduce isolation, and help tackle local inequalities.

Through our weekly arts and sports programmes, youth projects, and free events, we aim to:

Promote the arts through dance, drama, music and cultural workshops

Provide support for mental health and emotional resilience, especially for young people and families.

Offer access to green spaces with outdoor events and community days in our secure garden

Help prevent and reduce the impact of poverty through food support, low-cost holiday clubs, and life-skills workshops

Support marginalised and ethnically diverse groups, with inclusive programmes and outreach that reflect the community we serve.

We’re also working toward making our space greener and more sustainable, with plans to improve biodiversity and respond to the climate emergency. Our hall is available for community events, private hire, and classes, with every booking helping fund more free or low-cost support for local families. At Sherwood Park Hall, we believe a stronger, healthier, more connected community starts right here.
